Downloading Instructions

1) Create a folder named "FriendTools" on your drive.    

2) Click here to download FriendTools 1.2

3) Extract friendtools.exe to the FriendTools folder you created in step 1.

4) Double click the file friendtools.exe. 

5) When FriendTools opens, add the myspace user and password you'd like to use into the login section on the upper left of the program window and Login. You may use an unlimited number myspace user profiles. Just login with a different username and password.

6) The unregistered version allows only 10 friend requests. Mass Comment and Mass Mail is disabled in the unregistered version.

How To Purchase & Register FriendTools

After making your purchase, open FriendTools and at the lower right corner of the program, you'll see a "Register Now" link. Click that link and then copy the machine code that is displayed. Paste the machine code and your computer *username into an email to support@friendtools.net. Once we receive your email message with your machine code and username, we'll email your license key to you.  

After you receive your license key, copy and paste the license key file into the same folder that contains friendtools.exe. The next time you open FriendTools, you should see your computer username at the upper left top of the screen. FriendTools is now registered to your computer.

*How to find your current windows xp user name:

1) Press the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys simultaneously. Windows Task Manager will pop up on the screen.

2) Click on the "Users" tab.

3) Look under the "User" heading for your currently logged in account.

How To Use FriendTools

When FriendTools opens, add the myspace user and password you'd like to use into the login section on the upper left of the program window and then click Login. You may use an unlimited number myspace user profiles. Just login with a different username and password. To use a different myspace login profile, you'll need to log out of the current profile, add the new profile login, close FriendTools, then reopen FriendTools. Your new profile should open.

How to use the Friend Adder:

1) Set program options by clicking the "Options" button, located just above the "Login" button. It is highly recommended to enable all Navigation options. Disabling multimedia and photos will optimize the program. Enabling the first 4 options will require you to restart FriendTools.

2) Click the "Browse" link and set the Browse Criteria for whatever user profiles you'd like to add.

3) Click the "Collect" button at the top of the program window to begin collecting friend ID's. Myspace puts a limit of 400 friend requests for each user daily. 

4) To stop collecting ID's, click "Stop" button at the top of the program window.

5) If you have an existing friend list, you can exclude your list from requests by clicking the "Friendlist" button at the top of the program window. The "Friendlist" column on the left side will then populate with your existing friendlist, and will be excluded from friend requests.

6) Click the "Mass Add" button at the top left of the program window. You can monitor the number of add requests at the bottom of the collected column.

How to use the Commenter:

1) After logging in, click the "Friendlist" button at the top of the program window. This will populate the Friendlist column on the right side of the program window with your friend list.

2) After your friendlist column is completely populated, click the "Comment" button, located at the top of the program window. You can create your comment in the send window. To use the myspace user's profile name, make sure the $name$ tag is set. When finished, click the "Send" button to send your comment to your friends.

How to use the mailer:

1) Follow steps 2, 3 and 4 from the "How to use the Friend Adder" section.

2) Click the "Mass mail" button located at the top of the program window. 

3) You can create your mail message in the send window. To use the myspace user's profile name, make sure the $name$ tag is set. When finished, click the "Send" button to send your mail.
